Endings & Beginnings
First of all Happy New Year! I didn't stay up to see the new year in as I'd had a pretty big day New Years Eve. In fact I was at a funeral, It was for a man who had been in our family's lives since before I was born and like so many others we all know, he was taken by cancer before his time. He passed away on Christmas Eve and was laid to rest on the last day of 2010. It was a very sad ending and let's face it funerals are never a happy event, but it does get you thinking about the best way to spend your own life. I guess in essence that's what New Years Resolutions are all about. I have lots of exciting things happening both in my business and my personal life this year and one of my resolutions is to be grateful, so I have started a gratitude journal. The other resolution I have this year is to try and enjoy everyday in the moment, like so many people I am often living in the "tomorrow" the "next Month" or even the "next year". As John Lennon said "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans". Happy 2011!!

Red Revival's last market for 2010

But where oh where can we find just the perfect gift? I hear you say?? Well pop on down for some BrisStyle goodness at King George Square and surrounds on Friday night. I'll be there with some new designs like these little origami birds, see you there!!

Super Slack....
That's just what I've been with this blog lately.... In fact, if this blog were a child it would have been taken away long ago amid charges of neglect! Never mind, I have been busy behind the scenes, truly! Lots of making and meeting lovely people at markets here and there. Here's a little piccie of something new I'll be taking along to Saturday's BiDM at St Augustine's Hamilton and Sunday's YDM at Southbank. What do you think??

Finders Keepers- done and dusted
Phew.... What a weekend. I was super chuffed to be at the spring/ summer Finders Keepers at the Old Museum on the weekend. I was in wonderful company and I couldn't resist doing some shopping myself! I did take some shots, however it was with my "B" team camera so apologies for the quality but at least it shows my stall and the general surrounds. I'm madly making stock again for the BrisStyle Twilight Market on the 19th as we are off to Noosa on Saturday for some R and R before coming back on the 18th. See you then!!

New Stockist: Just Plain Gorgeous
I'm super excited to announce that a selected range of Red Revival jewellery is now available at Just Plain Gorgeous, 162 Oxford St Bulimba. This beautiful store is the brain child of Simone of Beach Vintage fame and her two lovely sisters. It really does live up to it's name and I certainly couldn't do a stock drop off without taking home some new treasures myself :-)

Song on a Saturday
I love a good song while I'm crafting. What are you listening to today? Here's my pick this Saturday. Particularly poignant since there is a building frenzy behind our place at the moment and I am trying to educate my kids that spots on fruit doesn't mean it's "yucky"..
Happy weekend everyone!

New Stockist: Gone Dotti
I'm happy to say the lovely Megan of Gone Dotti in Paddington is now stocking a selection of the Red Revival collection. I was lucky enough to be next to her and her gorgeous daughters at last week's YDM and we got chatting, I love her concept and the store is brimming with handmade goodness. One of the new goodies I dropped over there today is this new Tweet Tweet wall hanging, what do you think?

I'll be there (praying for sunshine) with some new goodies including this spring inspired maypole pendant from my new gallery collection. See you there!!

Woo Hoo for Courier Mail Love!
YeeHah Grandma, it was certainly exciting to see lots of BrisStylers featured in yesterdays Courier Mail (Yours truly included)! There was a great interview with both Vicki of In.cube8r and the fabulous Helen of BrisStyle and top piece on the lovely Sophie of Strat Designs. My goodies were featured alongside the beautiful work of Kellie Christie, Kimono Reincarnate, Sybella and Cairo Made That.
To celebrate I thought I would have a giveaway of one of my new jewellery trees! These little numbers will be making their debut at next weekend's Bidm and YDM. They are made from MDF board and ready to paint or stain to any colour your heart desires. To win all you need to do is make sure you are a follower of the new Red Revival blog and leave a comment below.
